Biography
Charlotte Metoyer has been in the field of education for more than 30 years. She received her B.A. degree in Elementary Education as well as her M.A. in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Charlotte’s doctorate degree was earned in Administration and Supervision from Roosevelt University.Metoyer has worked as a classroom teacher, principal, and superintendent in the city of Chicago, the South Suburbs and rural Will County. Since 2001 she has taught at the college and university level.
Metoyer has a strong focus on early childhood and teacher motivation and is an advocate for high quality child care, salary inequities and educational excellence for all teachers. She is highly regarded by her students and colleagues for her support and mentoring of National-Louis University’s Early Childhood Education Club, which became a Chapter with AEYC–Chicago Metro in 2009.
Metoyer was awarded “Teacher of the Year” by National-Louis University in 2009 and is the publisher of 2 children’s books “The Sillies” and “Katie’s Wish” in 2009.
