Biography
Howard R. Zacks is a professor in the College of Management and Business (CMB) at National-Louis University (NLU). Professor Zacks has been at NLU since 1994. After serving as associate dean and acting dean of CMB, Dr. Zacks was named dean where he also was a member the NLU President's Cabinet. Dr. Zacks was responsible for guiding the development of several new programs for working adults including the Master of Science in Managerial Leadership (MSML), the Master of Business Administration (MBA), and online versions of the Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) and MBA. Dr Zacks served in these administrative positions from 1994-2001 when he became a full-time faculty member.
Dr. Zacks also spent 18 years at General Motors Institute (now Kettering University). He began as an assistant professor of economics in 1969 and was named professor in 1976. He became head of GMI's business school in 1982 and executive director of graduate studies and program development in 1986. At GMI, Dr. Zacks initiated and managed the development of several new programs including the Master of Science in Manufacturing Management, GMI's first program for working adults.
